Our digital Speed systems are an advanced  form of technology where the information is displayed within  the  drivers  line  of  sight of the road making  it safer  by  removing the glances down at the Speedo. This system alerts you at different levels of speed which is necessary on Australian roads with our different and confusing speed limits.  

How does the BWMS Speed Alert work................

The Speed Alert  unit placed on the dashboard will project the speed onto a tint film placed on the front windscreen.  You can set  the speed  limit, and when you exceed  the  limit, an  audible and visual  alert  will  notify  you in  your line  of sight.  When  the  car is  at a   standstill,  the  speedometer reading and  the  projected  speed will  be  synchronized.  The  brightness  of  the LED  is  adjusted according to the ambient light, so you will get the speed reading even in bright conditions.

This speedo requirs a square wave input to work. Installation is quite simple, on most cars with electronic speedo's you can tap into the existing speed sensor output.

Cars with data can-bus systems or older cars with speedo cables require the installation of another speed sensor, for $66 we can supply a proximity type sensor. This sensor works by picking up steel objects that pass by it. For example it can pick up the back of wheel studs or the bolts of a universal joint or CV joint.
